Experience
At present, I am a math teacher working for the Denver Public School system. Before moving here, I gained valuable experience mentoring students and filling in as a substitute for teachers at the college level. I earned my bachelor's degree from Binghamton University, and I earned my master's degree from UNCW. Next fall, I intend to enroll in a program to earn my doctorate in either sociology or information communication studies. My qualifications include teaching mathematics, sociology, and history classes to grade school students of all ages. I can also help with world religion, philosophy, theory of knowledge, and economics courses. I also enjoy teaching students effective strategies that will help them become better test-takers. Many students have a lot of knowledge, but have trouble understanding or meeting the expectations of exams. This is easily remedied through practice and the comprehensive knowledge of subjects from various different points of view.In my spare time, I enjoy various outdoor activities with my family and close friends. Last summer, the majority of my time was spent paddle boarding on the beach in Wrightsville up until I made the move to Colorado. Since then, my favorite pastimes have been hiking, golfing, and running. I also enjoy watching and playing sports, listening to music, reading nonfiction, and exercising in general.
